Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has died after a car crash in Spain at the age of 28, Spanish state-owned TV station TVE has reported.
The footballer was reportedly travelling in a car with his 26-year-old brother Andre, who is also a footballer, when the vehicle went off the road.
The incident occurred on the A-52 in the province of Zamora, local media said, citing firefighters.
Jota won the English Premier League with Liverpool FC this season and the European Nations League with Portugal.
On June 22, two weeks ago, he married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso in Porto.
