Liverpool Football Club has confirmed the heartbreaking death of Diogo Jota. The 28-year-old forward died in a car accident in Spain, along with his younger brother, André.
The crash happened early Thursday morning in the province of Zamora. According to local reports, the vehicle went off the road and caught fire. Witnesses said the flames spread quickly, and the car was soon engulfed. Both brothers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Jota had only recently married his partner, Rute Cardoso, on June 22. The couple had three children together. Just days after that joyful moment, this tragedy has left the football world in deep shock.
