An emotional Cristiano Ronaldo has paid tribute to Portugal teammate Diogo Jota after the Liverpool player died at the age of 28.
Jota and his brother Andre Silva, 26, were killed in a car crash in the Spanish province of Zamora.
Liverpool Football Club say they have been left ‘devastated’ by the ‘unimaginable loss’.
Jota scored 65 goals in 182 games for Liverpool and helped Arne Slot’s side win the Premier League title last season.

Just last month Jota featured alongside Ronaldo in Portugal’s Nations League final win over Spain.
Ronaldo says the death of his international teammate ‘does not make sense’ and sent his condolences to Jota’s family.
‘Doesn’t make any sense,’ he posted on social media. ‘Just now we were together in the National Team, just now you were married.
‘To your family, to your wife and children, I send my condolences and wish them all the strength in the world. I know you will always be with them. R.I.P. Diogo and Andre We will all miss you.’
Jota married his long-term partner Rune Cardoso at the end of last month. He had three children with Cardosa.
