Man Utd stars have paid tribute to Diogo Jota after the tragic death of the Liverpool FC forward.
Cristiano Ronaldo has paid tribute to international teammate Diogo Jota after he passed away at the age of 28. The Liverpool forward died alongside his brother, Andre Silva, when the vehicle they were in left the road due to a tyre blowout while overtaking. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning in the municipality of Cernadilla in the province of Zamora.
Liverpool Football Club released a statement to confirm the 'unimaginable loss' which has shocked the entire football world, while Manchester United sent a message of support on social media. Tributes have flooded in for the Portugal international, with Ronaldo one of many to share his heartbreak over the tragic news.
"It doesn't make sense. Just now we were together in the National Team, just now you had gotten married," he wrote on social media. "To your family, your wife, and your children, I send my condolences and wish them all the strength in the world. I know you will always be with them. Rest in Peace, Diogo and André. We will all miss you."

Manchester United stars pay their respect
The football world will continue to pay tribute to Liverpool star Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva in the coming hours and days, and Uefa has announced that a moment of silence will be observed at all the Women's Euro 2025 games on Thursday and Friday, including Portugal's tie against Spain.
Manchester United players took to social media to pay respect to their fellow professional, with Harry Maguire posting a series of images on his Instagram account, while Mason Mount wrote: "Absolutely devastating news. Rest in peace Diogo and Andre. Deepest condolences and thoughts are with the family."
Diogo Dalot posted his own tribute to his international teammate with the caption: "Devastating..Much strength to the entire family."
