Diogo Jota has tragically passed away following a car accident in Spain.
The Liverpool striker was in the car with his brother Andre Silva at the time, with their car setting alight after trying to take over the car in front of them.
Reports on the situation emerged early on Thursday morning, but since then, Liverpool have released a statement on Jota confirming the news.

Along with tributes from ex-players such as Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, Ronaldo has now put out a statement remembering his former teammate.
“It doesn’t make sense. Just now we were together in the National Team, and now you’ve gotten married,” he wrote via his personal Instagram account.
