Digo Jota's final ever goal is being shared by Liverpool fans mourning his loss — a crucial derby day winner that helped keep the Reds' title push gathering pace.
The tragic footy ace, who died alongside his brother in a horror car crash in Spain on Thursday morning, slotted the only goal of the game past arch rivals Everton at Anfield in April.
He was hailed a hero at the time as his neat finish in the 57th minute restored their 12 point gap at the top of the Premier League as Arne Slot's men romped to the club's 20th league title victory.
And it took on added poignancy as it emerged it was his final ever goal as his life was cut tragically short when he died aged just 28 on Thursday morning when the Lamborghini he was travelling in careered off the road and burst into flames.

But while he was already beloved by Liverpool fans, he cemented his status as a Kop idol by scoring the crucial derby winner.
And it was fondly remembered by fans as clips resurfaced on social media of the moment he danced around the Everton defence and buried it past Jordan Pickford in front of the Kop.

Star Sport supremo Neil Docking described the strike as "the most classic Jota goal", adding: "He had a quiet game then just slaloms and scores with a world class finish."
One season ticket holder wrote on social media: "Diogo Jota's last ever goal for Liverpool. Against Everton in the Merseyside derby back in April, a crucial goal on our way to winning the PL Title. R.I.P our Portuguese Prince."
Another fan said: "Jota had a habit of scoring vital goals as well. Always equalisers or winners. His last goal being the winner against Everton is fitting for him. Just wish it wasn't his last. Going to miss him man."

The club said in a statement earlier on Thursday that it had been "devastated" by the "unimaginable loss" of the Portuguese star, who was capped 49 times by his country.
Merseyside rivals Everton turned its club badge on its social media pages black and paid tribute to the Portuguese forward.
The club posted on X: "Everyone at Everton is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva. Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this sad time.

Tributes were also paid by his former club Wolves, for whom he remains the last player to score a hat-trick for at their home ground of Molineux.
The Midlands club said: "Diogo was adored by our fans, loved by his teammates and cherished by everyone who worked with him during his time at Wolves. The memories he created will never be forgotten."
