Former Arkansas men's basketball forward Adou Thiero will miss the NBA Summer League as he "continues the recovery process" from the hyperextended left knee he suffered that caused him to miss 8 of the Razorbacks' final 9 games of the season, according to a report from The Athletic.
The NBA Summer League is scheduled to begin July 10.
Thiero, who is listed at 6-foot-8 and 220 pounds, led the Razorbacks in scoring and rebounding, averaging 15.1 and 5.8, respectively. He was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the NBA Draft's No. 36 overall pick last Thursday. The pick was acquired in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets.
He is expected to be healthy and participate in preseason training camp.
The Lakers finished third in the Western Conference with a 50-32 record. They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
