Manchester United’s transfer business is ramping up with Ruben Amorim set to enter a crucial stretch of the window as he looks to trim the squad and bring in new faces.
United’s summer dealings have so far included the big-money arrival of Matheus Cunha and a continued pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo, though several fringe players are expected to leave.
Meanwhile, the future of players like Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho remains uncertain, with both drawing interest from clubs across Europe.

But it’s not just current squad members making the news—those who’ve left Old Trafford are also finding themselves back in the headlines.
Victor Lindelof is one such name, with the former United defender now firmly on the radar of Serie A side Fiorentina.
The 30-year-old, who left Manchester United at the end of his contract in June, could be set for a new adventure in Italy as La Viola eye a move to bring him in on a free transfer.
FootItalia reports that Fiorentina have made Victor Lindelof a top target and are hopeful of securing his signature ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Interestingly, former United goalkeeper David De Gea—currently Fiorentina’s first-choice shot-stopper—is said to be playing a key role in persuading the Swede to make the move to Florence.
The pair share a close friendship from their time together at Old Trafford, and De Gea has reportedly stepped in as an informal intermediary to help facilitate the switch.
Lindelof would be required to accept a significant wage cut to make the deal happen, dropping from his €139k-per-week United salary to closer to De Gea’s €73k weekly wages in order to fit Fiorentina’s financial structure.

Despite the salary adjustment, Lindelof is said to be open to the move, intrigued by the prospect of reuniting with De Gea and working under expected new boss Stefano Pioli.
The Sweden captain made 284 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United, including 194 Premier League matches and 26 in the Champions League.
He leaves behind a legacy of 49 Premier League clean sheets, four goals, and five assists, as well as EFL Cup and FA Cup winner’s medals.
Known for his versatility, Lindelof’s ability to play centrally or as a full-back could be a valuable asset for Fiorentina as they prepare for another European campaign.
Should a deal be finalised, it would mark a fresh chapter for the veteran defender—one backed by familiar faces and a familiar ambition to win.
