Jurgen Klopp has paid tribute to his former Liverpool star Diogo Jota, following his death in a car accident at the age of 28.
The Portugal international died in a car crash on Thursday morning alongside his brother Andre Silva, 26, in the Spanish province of Zamora.
The football world has paid their respects to the forward, and his former Reds boss has posted a heart-wrenching message to social media.
Klopp posted a number of pictures of the two embracing at Liverpool, with the caption: "This is a moment where I struggle! There must be a bigger purpose! But I can’t see it! I’m heartbroken to hear about the passing of Diogo and his brother André.
"Diogo was a not only a fantastic player, but also a great friend, a loving and caring husband and father! We will miss you so much!

"All my prayers, thoughts and power to Rute, the kids, the family, the friends and everyone who loved them! Rest in peace - Love J".
Jota played 145 games under Klopp, who signed him from Wolves in 2020 in a £45million deal. The Portugal international scored 56 goals and registered 22 assists under the German.
Together, they won the FA Cup, two EFL Cups, and finished runners-up in the 2022 Champions League final. Jota got his hands on the Premier League trophy in his final game for the club under Arne Slot.
Tributes have also come from Jota's former team-mates, including Sadio Mane, who posted a picture of the two together playing for Liverpool with a heartbroken emoji.
