Manchester United enter the summer transfer window with a pressing need to bolster their attacking options, following a season that saw them fall short in front of goal.
After failing to secure a consistent goalscorer, manager Ruben Amorim and his team are keen to add firepower before the new campaign kicks off.
Striker Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly agreed terms with Arsenal, leaving United on the hunt for alternatives.

The search for a reliable forward has become increasingly urgent, with few options available at the top level that fit the club’s criteria.
As clubs across Europe also jostle for the best talents, Manchester United must act decisively to avoid missing out.
In a surprising development, former United chief scout Mick Brown has revealed that the club is considering a “surprise” target in their striker pursuit: Ivan Toney.
The 29-year-old English international currently plays for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli but is reportedly interested in a Premier League return.
Brown, who has extensive experience scouting top players for Manchester United and other Premier League clubs, spoke to Football Insider about the Red Devils’ revived interest.
“Toney is an interesting one for United,” Brown said.
“Whatever you say about him, he’s got a proven track record of scoring goals in the Premier League.
“He’s gone out to Saudi Arabia and continued scoring goals.
“Man United have been watching him, my sources tell me, and they think he is still capable of playing at the top level, plus he’s not even 30 yet so he’s got years left in him.”
The former Brentford star enjoyed a stellar 2024-25 season, scoring 30 goals and providing six assists across 44 appearances.

United scouts have admired his ability since his time at Brentford, and despite a failed £20 million bid last summer, the club now looks set to reignite their interest.
“He’s one they’ve liked for a while, even when he was at Brentford, so it might be a surprise to see them interested again but there aren’t a lot of strikers of his level available.”
Brown added that Toney is motivated by a desire to compete at the highest level again.
“From what I’m told, he would be interested in a return to the Premier League.
“He might have to take a cut from what he’s getting paid out there, but he wants to play at the highest level and United could give him that chance.
“They see him as a definite upgrade on what they’ve got, so it’s a possibility.”
As Manchester United prepare to make their final moves before the transfer window closes, the potential signing of Ivan Toney could provide the much-needed goal threat to help turn their fortunes around.
