Boost as Euro club & their boss now open to letting 24y/o Arsenal target leave, Gunners in…

Real Madrid and their manager Xabi Alonso are open to Arsenal target Rodrygo leaving the club this summer, according to The Athletic.

The Gunners have held preliminary talks with the representatives of the Brazil international in recent weeks, with their coaching staff huge admirers of his versatility and quality.

Rodrygo can play on both wings and even as a number 9, and Arsenal are keen to do a deal if the conditions are right.

He has featured for just 23 minutes at the ongoing Club World Cup after making his first appearance for Madrid in 53 days during their opener against Al Hilal on June 18.

The Arsenal target has had to feature mostly from the bench in recent months, with Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham playing ahead of him.

His agent complained to the club, but it did not go down well with them as Rodrygo hardly impressed when given the opportunities, and they opened the door to a potential sale heading into the summer.

It appears Alonso is not a great fan of the attacker, which could be good news for Arsenal as they look to bolster their options in the final third heading into the next campaign.
