Leicester City are monitoring Salford City youngster Will Wright, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claim the Foxes have ‘checked on’ the teenage striker, as have Arsenal, Brentford and Burnley.
However, the report says Premier League behemoths Man City and Liverpool are leading the race, with the 17-year-old claimed to be ‘keen on a move to Liverpool’.
City were first credited with an interest in Wright in April, when Sky Sports said they and Birmingham City were ‘watching his situation’.
Wright made his Salford debut in the Vertu Trophy game against Wolves in November, then played the last three minutes of the FA Cup hammering by Pep Guardiola's City in January.
He has also made two League Two appearances but it is said he scored more than 50 goals for the club at all ages last term.
Standing 6ft 3ins, Wright is a second year scholar and Man City are claimed to be ready to make a bid of £100,000 plus add ons.
