**Sometimes, life can be so unpredictable, you just never know what is around the corner.**
Today, we learned that the Liverpool forward, Diogo Jota, had, at the age of 28, died in a car crash in Spain.
Seemingly, one of the tyres on his car burst catapulting him off the road and resulting in his car bursting into flames, the crash saw Diogo, and also his younger brother, Andre Silva, die.
It truly was a tragic accident and my heart goes out to all his close relations which include his wife, who he only married less than two weeks ago and, of course their young children.
At times like this, it doesn’t matter who you support, the sheer horror of what has happened can be recognised by us all.
But what makes the whole affair even more tragic is that Diogo would usually have flown home but, due to a recent operation, was advised not to fly, therefore he was driving to catch a ferry to make his way back to the UK.
Now I’m a normally shy and retiring type but, all of a sudden the old saying ‘_live every day as if it is your last_’ seems the way forward, you just never know what is around the corner!
RIP – Dioga Jota
