Not every Manchester United academy graduate manages to break through at Old Trafford.
Ethan Galbraith was once seen as a midfielder with serious potential but now finds himself set to play for Swansea City.
Axel Tuanzebe, was once tipped to become a dependable first-team squad player, now plays for Burnley following a series of loan spells.
Finally, Joe Rothwell, who began his United career at the age of six, recently signed for Rangers to reunite with manager Russell Martin.

Such journeys are a reminder of how brutal the pathway to the top can be.
Even for those who come through United’s ranks from a young age.
Now, another former United youth product has taken the next step in his career.

Boston United have confirmed the signing of striker Manni Norkett on an initial one-year deal with an option for a second, as announced via the club’s official website.
The 20-year-old joins following his release from Premier League side Nottingham Forest and arrives at Jakemans Community Stadium looking to properly launch his senior career.
He also had a trial at Leicester City, before signing for Forest in 2023.
Norkett spent five years in Manchester United’s academy, netting 19 goals in 40 games for the club’s Under-18s before joining Forest.
He also enjoyed a short loan spell at Cheltenham Town last season, where he scored his first professional goal in League Two against Accrington Stanley in October.
A product of grassroots sides Collingham, Newark Town and RHP Colts, Norkett joined United at the age of 13.
And now, he’s ready for his next challenge in Lincolnshire.
Hopefully a chapter where he’s able to settle at a club where he can fulfil his potential.
