Enjoy our daily round-up of today's stories involving West Ham United not covered elsewhere in KUMB's news section.

New derby date

West Ham's home clash with Chelsea has been moved forward from Saturday 23 August to a Friday night kick-off, following a request from Sky Sports.

The broadcaster have requested the move due to what they believe is "an eagerly-anticipated, early-season match-up" - with the game now given an 8pm kick off, as opposed to 3pm the following day. While the Safety Advisory Group are yet to grant their consent, police are understood to have raised no objections to the change.

Blink and you'll miss it

Fans wishing to attend the pre-season friendly in Switzerland against Grasshoppers can now purchase tickets - but you'll have to be quick!

Only 150 tickets are being made available for travelling Hammers fans when Graham Potter's side open their summer series of pre-season fixtures against the former Swiss champions - who survived relegation via a play-off last season - at their training camp stadium.

With a capacity of only 1,500, the very limited allocation is available now priced at CHF 40 for seats (50 available) and CHF 20 for standing (100 for sale). Good luck, you're going to need it!

Steady Eddie

Edson Alvarez and Mexico are through to the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup after beating Honduras by one goal to nil in Thursday morning's semi final.

The only goal of the game came from Fulham striker Raul Jimenez, who struck 50 minutes into the evenly-matched affair to send his team through to Monday morning's final against the USA - a game that kicks off at midnight GMT, should you wish to stay up and cheer on West Ham's midfielder and his team mates.

The Foundry

The West Ham United Foundation has installed what charitytoday.co.uk have described as "a bold new canopy across the front of the building".

The state-of-the-art community hub, also known as The Foundry, has been improved with "the final architectural element in this landmark project". Joseph Lyons, the Foundation's CEO said: "The installation of the canopy and illuminated Hammers sign at The Foundry is a huge moment for us.

"We have the unique power to unite, inspire and create lasting change, and these additions to our Foundation hub reflect that. The Foundry stands as a beacon for our community – a place where opportunity begins, and ambition and belonging are nurtured.”

Among the first groups to benefit from The Foundry are participants from supporters' group Any Old Irons, Premier League Kicks, Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) sessions and trialists for 'post-16' football courses."
