Juventus are in advanced talks around the financials of a deal to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, speaking on The United Stand.
It's been a tricky few years for Sancho, who has struggled to make a significant impact since moving to Old Trafford from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund. A recent loan move to Chelsea didn't work out, despite the England international receiving more game time, as Enzo Maresca's side opted against turning the move permanent.
Sancho's hefty wages, which reportedly total around £275,000-a-week, make it difficult for the former Manchester City man to find a new club. Not only will a club have to pay a similar package, but United will, of course, demand a transfer fee if he does depart on a permanent transfer in the coming months.

Jadon Sancho in action for Chelsea
Speaking on the United Stand YouTube channel, journalist Jacobs has discussed Sancho's situation at Old Trafford. The reliable reporter has confirmed that Juventus are in advanced talks regarding the financials of a deal for Sancho to move to the Serie A club...
"Juventus may prefer to do a loan with an obligation which is as good as a permanent exit, but it just allows them to defer some of the outlay and therefore put their money now, in this financial year on the Sancho wage, and wait to pay the obligation a little bit further down the line. Manchester United may be open to doing that if it's a permanent exit. But of course, their preference is just to get a transfer fee straight away and then be able to spend that in the market. But Juventus and Sancho are developing at the time we're recording, which is on a Thursday morning for me here in America. There's a meeting taking place between the Sancho camp and Juventus, and they are what can be termed as in advanced talks around the financials, which doesn't mean the deal is advanced yet, but what it means is that the personal terms are really being talked about in quite some detail, and that's leading Juventus to think there might be something here."

A permanent exit feels like the right solution for Sancho, considering Ruben Amorim clearly doesn't see him as part of United's future. The Red Devils allowed Sancho to depart on loan to a big side in the Premier League, which says a lot about how they feel about him.
