Travis Kelce Sends Strong Message About Retirement, Future With Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce could walk away from the NFL right now, and he would still be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

He's a three-time Super Bowl champion who holds countless records, and he will go down as one of the greatest — if not the greatest — tight ends of all time.

Nevertheless, all good things come to an end. At 35 years old and with more than a decade in the league, he's inching closer to the end of the road, and he knows it.

In a recent appearance on the 'Bussin' With the Boys' podcast, Kelce acknowledged that he's spent some time wondering about his future beyond football:

"I think the biggest thing that changes in the offseason is where you put all your attention," Kelce started. "The past three years, I have had a lot of attention on getting, taking a step away from football to figure out what I am doing afterwards, and making sure I am setting that up. I am setting myself up for the future."

Kelce will enter the final year of his deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, and he's just trying to approach it with a 'one day at a time' mindset:

"It is the last one on the contract. I am focused on this one. I do not know what next year is going to feel like," Kelce continued. "I do not know what I am going to feel like in March and April of next year, when I make that decision, or I try to figure out what is next for me. But I know that I got one on the contract, and I got a team and got a lot of talent. I am pumped for it."

Kelce has become a prominent figure on social media with his podcast and his relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift, and he will have no shortage of options to stay busy once he rides into the sunset.
