Yerson Mosquera was robbed of so much football last season after sustaining a serious knee injury for Wolves.
The defender had been excited ahead of the 2024/25 season, after returning to the club following successful loan stints with FC Cincinnati and Villarreal.
And the campaign started off fairly well for him on a personal level.
While Wolves were struggling as a collective, Yerson Mosquera was impressing fans with his physicality, and he really looked like he would finally show everyone why the club were so excited about him when they first signed him.
But the injury curse struck again for Mosquera in September, as he suffered damage to his ACL and MCL in a Premier League game against Aston Villa.
Mosquera is back now though and has already reported back to Compton, along with Sasa Kalajdzic.
And Wolves may be about to do something which could be quite helpful to him.
Nasser Djiga loan could be good news for Yerson Mosquera

It was reported on Wednesday that Wolves were in talks with Rangers over a potential loan deal for Nasser Djiga.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Djiga joined Wolves in January, but has struggled for game time at Molineux.
He’s made just six appearances to date, and there was always potential for Djiga to leave Wolves on loan this summer.
And if Djiga does go to Rangers then, in theory, this will be a positive for Mosquera.
Because it will be one less player competing for minutes, and it’s been reported that Wolves would not seek to directly replace Djiga if he does go.
The suggestion that Wolves would only bring in a centre-back if someone else departs.
Realistically, Djiga and Mosquera are in similar places in the pecking order at Molineux right now. So an exit for Djiga could lead to more opportunities for Mosquera.
Mosquera to stay at Wolves
There appears to be little chance of Mosquera leaving Wolves this summer, despite having just come back from a serious knee injury.
Mosquera recently stated he needed to stay at Wolves, saying about his recovery: “The progress is going well. I’ll be trying with the team maybe in pre-season, but I need to keep going now, I need to prepare,” Mosquera said with regard to his recovery.
“I will stay here for one more week, because I need to work and I need to recover well. I need to go to summer and do something as well, because I need to be back ready for the next step, it’s really important for me.
“I need to show the fans why I need to stay here, why I need to play. That’s my point, to show them a good show.”
Vitor Pereira has also suggested he’s ready to use Mosquera in 2025/26, talking up his character while he was out injured.
It seems the £4.5 million (The Athletic) Colombian has already made an impression on his manager without even playing for him yet, so hopefully we’ll see him have plenty of involvement in the coming season – and any exit of Djiga will surely help with that.
