Manchester City need to sell some of their stars as part of the rebuild at the Etihad Stadium this summer.
The 10-time English champions endured a challenging 2024-25 season, but a late run of form secured a third-place finish in the Premier League table.
However, Pep Guardiola’s side failed to win a trophy after being knocked out of the Club World Cup by Al-Hilal on Tuesday (1 July).
Man City have already spent around £115million on new additions after signing Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider the club might not bring in more signings until some of their players leave the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola has warned he will quit Man City if he has to work with a large squad again next season.

Man City and Man United face same transfer hurdle
Borson insisted the situation at Man City, Man United and Liverpool will be dependent on player sales this summer.
He told Football Insider: “Manchester United are a good example of this.
“A lot of the players that have been touted and talked about will be dependent on sales.
“I think the picture will change. I think teams have got a package of deals that they’re prepared to do, assuming that they struggle with some of the outgoings.
“Then they also have their list of if we sell X, Y and Z, then we can also reinvest some of that money back into the market.
“I think that’s probably what’s also going on at Liverpool.
“I don’t see City being particularly busy until they’ve got some movement on some of the players that need to be exited beyond the three that they bought.
“I think they need to be selling players now.”

James McAtee makes Man City transfer decision after Nottingham Forest reveal
In terms of a potential exit, recruitment expert Mick Brown told Football Insider James McAtee is set to snub a move to Nottingham Forest in favour of a switch to Germany.
Forest sent scouts to watch McAtee at the Under-21s European Championships, where he captained England to the trophy.
However, the 22-year-old is understood to favour a move to the Bundesliga, with Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen all monitoring his situation.
