Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga is on the verge of joining Newcastle United.
After weeks of Anthony Elanga links to Newcastle United, it seems Nottingham Forest have finally given in.
According to Daily Mail journalist Craig Hope, Newcastle are on the verge of agreeing a £55m deal to sign Anthony Elanga.

The Magpies are laser-focused on landing his signature, having already had a £45m bid rejected over the last week.
Personal terms are not expected to be an issue, so it appears as though a transfer could go through pretty imminently.
With that said, it’s just emerged that Forest will have to pay Manchester United a portion of the money they’re set to receive.

Nottingham Forest signed Elanga from Manchester United during the summer of 2023, paying around £15m for his signature.

That investment has looked like a bargain ever since, as the Sweden international has established himself as one of the best wingers in the Premier League.
But, unfortunately for Forest, it has now emerged that United inserted a pretty hefty sell-on clause in the deal.
Nathan Salt of the Daily Mail understands it’s worth around 20%, which means Forest will have to pay United £11m of the £55m.
Who could replace Anthony Elanga?
Forest have been eyeing multiple wingers this summer, perhaps knowing that Elanga would ultimately move on.
Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Forest have agreed a deal to sign Malick Fofana from Lyon, which would be a major coup.
We are told Forest have not yet agreed terms to sign Fofana, so there is still significant legwork to do before that transfer materialises.
Whilst not a like-for-like, Georges Mikautadze could replace Elanga as Nuno Espirito Santo and his chiefs eye a £21m deal.
The Euro 2024 Golden Boot winner can operate as a wide player, so that deal could now accelerate over the coming days.
