Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Manchester United are experiencing a sense of déjà vu with the Jadon Sancho saga this summer. The winger, who joined the Reds in 2021, has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and looks set to be on his way out.

After being sidelined by Erik ten Hag, Sancho was shipped off to Borussia Dortmund on loan for the latter half of the 2023/24 season, before spending most of the 2024/25 season at Chelsea. However, it turned out to be a pricey loan stint for United, who had to foot nearly half of Sancho's whopping £300,000 weekly wage.

It seems history might be about to echo itself, as clubs are balking at Sancho's current wage demands. Juventus is the latest club linked with the former Man City prodigy, but according to The Daily Mail, the Italian giants aren't willing to shell out more than half of his salary, whether that's through a permanent transfer or a loan deal.

This could potentially leave United with a hefty bill of up to £5million for the season if they have to cover half of his wages again. Despite this, Juventus are still keen to tempt Sancho to Turin, with reports suggesting Douglas Luiz and Dusan Vlahovic have been dangled as bait.

Borussia Dortmund, the team that took Sancho under their wing after he was frozen out by Ten Hag two years ago, are allegedly eager to lure the 25 year old back to the Bundesliga. With youngster Jamie Gittens set to leave Dortmund for Chelsea this summer, Sancho could be the perfect replacement, reports the Express.

Meanwhile, another United player, Alejandro Garnacho, is rumoured to be on his way out this transfer window, having reportedly been deemed surplus to requirements by Ruben Amorim. Garnacho was vocal about his discontent after United's Europa League final loss, questioning Amorim's decision to leave him on the bench against Tottenham.

Garnacho further ruffled fans' feathers when he was spotted wearing a Marcus Rashford Aston Villa shirt on holiday, a move that was heavily criticised by former United star Louis Saha.

Saha believes that United legends like Roy Keane would have given Garnacho a piece of their mind - and a few tough tackles on the training pitch - for his actions.

In an interview with Coin Poker, Saha said: "Back in my day, I think Roy would have welcomed Garnacho back to the training ground with a few crunching tackles to help him understand what he thought of him. I can't say for sure, but I really doubt Keane will agree with what Garnacho did.

"It's the type of things we see from new generations. To be honest, I can't only blame Garnacho

"The way the squad has been built, it's why Garnacho thinks he has the right to do something like this, why he thinks he can make stupid comments and say things on social media. He thinks he's going to get something out of it, and right now, United are the club who are giving him the platform to act this way."
