Manchester United may not be having the best of times at present, but surely it won’t be long before they’re back at the heights they’ve reached in the past.
As one of the biggest clubs in the world, Manchester United continue to enjoy an incredibly high profile, with plenty of legends over the years that fans have called their own.
One such player is Nemanja Vidic, who was arguably one of the biggest bargains of the 21st century.
Man United paid just £7million for Vidic in 2006, and he helped the Red Devils win five Premier League titles and a Champions League among other trophies.
Vidic is the latest guest on The Overlap, and he revealed that the best teammate he ever had is a fellow Old Trafford legend.

Nemanja Vidic names Cristiano Ronaldo as his best teammate but adds two honourable Manchester United mentions
Vidic was interviewed by former Man United teammate Gary Neville, who fired a number of quickfire questions at him regarding his career and life.
And when it came to the question of the best footballer he has ever played alongside, there was no hesitating from the Serbian powerhouse.
“Cristiano Ronaldo,” said Vidic. “No question.”
Vidic also gave honourable mentions to two other attackers, adding: “And to be fair, the hardest players I played against, I played in training.
“I think actually, me improving as a defender as well, part of that is down to Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, and Louis Saha.”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United career
On 12 August 2003, less than a week after ‘that’ friendly between Man United and Sporting CP, Sir Alex Ferguson signed Ronaldo for £12million, then a British record fee for a teenager.
In his first stint at the club, the Portuguese forward made 292 appearances, scoring 118 goals and developing into one of the world’s best players.
Ronaldo helped Man United win three Premier League titles in a row between 2006-07 and 2008-09, as well as the 2008 Champions League.
That year, Ronaldo also won the first of five Ballon d’Or titles, a year before he moved to Real Madrid for a then world-record fee of £80million.
Ronaldo then had a stint at Juventus after Real Madrid before returning to Old Trafford in 2021, though he left the following year after a falling out with Erik ten Hag.
