The summer transfer window offers teams a fantastic opportunity to recruit new players ahead of the new season, helping the club to strengthen any weak spots.
However it also gives a great chance for teams to redesign their coaching staff, allowing for the pre-season training to give time to the squad to adjust to any new set up.
Last season Manchester United did away with most of Erik ten Hag’s coaching team in a bid to fight for a better position than eighth in the Premier League.
This move saw Ruud van Nistelrooy, Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Andreas Georgson join The Red Devils, albeit not for long.

In October 2024 ten Hag was sacked with his coaching staff also being replaced as Ruben Amorim brought his back room staff from Sporting CP with him.
Well, now it’s the turn of Arsenal to mix up the coaching staff, recruiting one of Manchester United’s former stars.
The Athletic has reported that The Gunners have appointed Gabriel Heinze to Mikel Arteta’s set up.
Heinze is joining the back room staff at the Emirates to replace Carlos Cuesta who has upgraded his role to become Parma’s new head coach.

Heinze brings a wealth of experience to the London-based club, having won trophies with United, Real Madrid and Marseille, whilst came runners-up in the Copa America with Argentina on two occasions.
Now, Heinze will be preparing for a return to Old Trafford after leaving The Red Devils in , however will be getting a taste of the Theatre of Dreams from the away bench this time.
