THE [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) will have two representatives in the Gold Cup final as Mexico and the United States are set to meet in Houston.
Julian Araujo and Tyler Adams have played their parts in their respective squads as the two teams reached the final.
Both Cherries started in the semifinals.
Mexico defeated Honduras 1-0 at the Levi’s Stadium in California, thanks to a goal from Raul Jimenez after 50 minutes.
Araujo played the full 90 minutes as Mexico will look to win their tenth Gold Cup title and defend the crown they earned in 2023.
_(Image: Richard Crease)_ Adams, meanwhile, played 77 minutes of the USA’s 2-1 win over Guatemala at Energizer Park in St Louis.
The USMNT opened up a two-goal lead after 15 minutes with a Diego Luna brace, but it was a nervy finish as Olger Escobar cut the deficit with ten minutes to play, although the USA held on.
The United States have won seven Gold Cup titles to Mexico’s nine, with the USA’s most recent victory coming in 2021.
The sides meet in Texas for the trophy at the NRG Stadium on Sunday at 6pm local time, but at midnight into the early hours of Monday morning, July 7.
