Rumors of Chris Paul getting signed by the Milwaukee Bucks are getting stronger as reports say the team is on the shortlist of organizations he might play for this coming season.

“The Milwaukee Bucks have registered interest in (Paul),” NBA TV’s Chris Haynes reported.
“The Charlotte Hornets, they (are trying) to make a play on Chris Paul as well, but I’m told he wants to stay closer to home.
“The Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns– they are still in play.”
It does not help, too, that the Bucks are still without a starting point guard after they let Damian Lillard go through a stretched-waive provision.
Opinions from the Bucks X community about the possibility of CP3 playing for their team are divided although mostly negative. Some fans are pointing to his age.

CP3, already 40 years old, last played for the San Antonio Spurs and played all 82 games for them. He averaged 8.8 points and 7.4 points in around 28 minutes per game.
Their main issue, however, is his history of animosity with team superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Chris Paul and Giannis Antetokounmpo dislike each other
The dynamics between Paul and the Greek Freak will be interesting if ever the Point God indeed comes to Milwaukee. This is because issue they had between each other in the past.
First, there was the time CP3 shaded Antetokounmpo’s free throw shooting during the 2021 NBA finals that irked Bucks fans.
“Everybody’s out there anticipating a miss,” the former Phoenix Suns PG said after Game 5. “Hell, even he is.”

Antetokounmpo did not respond directly to the quote but he shot 17 out of 19 from the foul line the next game on his way to 50 points to close out the Suns and win his first ever title.
The most recent clash between the two was in January last season when they got in a near scuffle after the Greek Freak took offense on his foul. Antetokounmpo was livid that he even challenged CP3 to meet him outside the court.
“People that know me, they don’t try me,” Antetokounmpo told reporters after the game. “If you try me, it’s a different side. If you try me, you’re gonna get that different side of me.”
The two are professionals but can they co-exist in the team? That is the biggest question right now.
