Victor Osimhen has been linked with a move to Manchester United

Manchester United's pre-season preparations are in full swing as the club's recruitment team continue to make moves ahead of the start of the new campaign.

As we head towards the weekend this Friday morning, MEN Sport has taken a look at some of the transfer rumours that have surfaced as United prepare to continue their summer business.

Osimhen attracted to United

According to , Napoli striker remains attracted to the idea of joining United this summer. It is believed the Nigerian rejected the approach of Al Hilal before the .

Galatasaray, who loaned the striker last season, are also thought to be eager to sign the 26-year-old. However, it is claimed that still holds a 'burning magnetism' which appeals to Osimhen.

MEN Sport's verdict: United could do a lot worse than move for Osimhen to solve their problem at centre-forward. A move for Viktor Gyokeres currently seems impossible and while Ollie Watkins is a proven entity, the Nigerian has arguably a better pedigree on the biggest stages.

The issue for United, and what seems to be holding them back, is the forward's wage demands. If there is no wiggle room there, the Reds look likely to get the deal done. That being said, if he scores 20+ goals for United next season, perhaps he is worth every penny.

United face hidden Sancho cost

According to the , United are facing a familiar problem as they try to sell . It is understood that while Juventus are keen on the winger and Sancho is open to joining the club, his current wage is a stumbling block.

Sancho is one of the higher earners at United and it is claimed a loan with an obligation to buy or some form of subsidy on his wages will be needed to complete a deal. That could cost United £5m if they want to part ways with the former England international.

MEN Sport's verdict : It feels as though there needs to be some sort of compromise somewhere to end this Sancho saga. Eventually, the player may feel like it has to come from him as although the money is good at Old Trafford, there comes a time where you want to play.

I t is hard to see how he would fit into Ruben Amorim's system so the only way he will get game time is to leave. If he needs to lower his wage demands to do just that, then that's the best course of action to take.
