Everton are aiming to get their summer transfer window truly up and running, and will hope to complete some deals soon.
David Moyes has a huge task on his hands this summer, as he needs to replace a number of experienced players who departed at the end of their contracts.
Everton’s squad depth is thin, and with pre-season starting soon, they will need more bodies through the door in July.
Players across the pitch are a necessity, but some positions need filling as a matter of urgency before pre-season, and we have assessed what could be a dream July for the Toffees.

Thierno Barry to lead July incomings
Villarreal star Thierno Barry looks set to become Everton’s first signing of July, with a deal close to being agreed for his signature.

The striker will arrive as the likely first choice despite his relative inexperience, having been in La Liga for just one season so far.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin among the players who have departed, Barry will join as a much-needed striker to compete with Beto for a starting spot.
Barry scored 11 goals in La Liga last summer, but a slow first season may be expected, and getting him in for pre-season as early as possible would be ideal.

Everton could sign Kyle Walker-Peters
Everton also need to sign a full-back, and free agent Kyle Walker-Peters could be perfect as a replacement for Ashley Young.
Walker-Peters can play on both sides, and the 27-year-old would arrive on a low wage as a Premier League-proven option in his prime years.
After being rejected by Kenny Tete, Walker-Peters could be a deal which can be wrapped up quickly, and with multiple full-backs potentially needed, this deal feels like a no-brainer.
A midfielder could also be a priority in July, and Genoa star Morten Frendrup could be an option in this regard.
While some deals may take longer, signing a defender, midfielder and attacker before pre-season as the minimum is a good way to start the window for Moyes ahead of what will be a hugely important summer.
