Report: Everton urged to act as 'brilliant' winger has informed his club he wants to leave this …

It is now time for Everton to start ramping things up in this summer’s transfer window.

David Moyes will be making his way back to Merseyside after enjoying his summer break in Miami, but he needs new players added to his squad.

Everton have waited for the new PSR window to open in July before really delving into the market.

However, that has only made Angus Kinnear’s job even more difficult with so many new players needed after the host of free agent exits.

It is believed Everton are close to completing a deal for Thierno Barry to boost their options up top.

But Everton are also going to need creativity around the Frenchman if they are going to get the best out of him.

Everton urged to make Edon Zhegrova move

Moyes has been keen to sign a new winger for Everton and the loss of Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom only emphasises that need.

There are a number of needs at Finch Farm, and a new winger is certainly one which will have to be addressed.

According to Football Transfers, a winger who would be a great fit for Everton is the Lille attacker Edon Zhegrova.

The Toffees are not the only club to be urged to make a move for the Kosovo international, though.

Newcastle United and Juventus have also been pushed to move for the 26-year-old, with strong interest already arriving from Atalanta.

Everton are showing an interest in Jack Grealish, but the Manchester City winger could snub a move to Merseyside for Champions League football.

Kinnear will have other options on his radar, and Zhegrova is a player who is believed to be a great fit for what Everton want.

Lille’s president open to selling Edon Zhegrova

In an injury-stricken season, Zhegrova returned an impressive five goal contributions in just 12 Ligue 1 games.

His manager, Bruno Genesio, hailed him as ‘brilliant’ prior to his season-ending abductor injury.

And this appears to be a potential deal that Everton could pull off this summer.

Lille’s president Olivier Letang has already admitted that the player wants to move on for a new challenge over the coming months.

“Edon has expressed his wish to leave,” he said.

“It doesn’t seem appropriate to me to keep him with a year left on his contract in the current economic context of French football. We’re anticipating [his exit].”
