**Argentinian midfielder Valentin Barco has joined Strasbourg from Brighton and Hove Albion.**

The French outfit have moved quickly to replace Habib Diarra, their former club captain who recently joined Premier League newcomers Sunderland in a high profile move for the Mackems.

20 year old Barco left Boca Juniors to sign for Brighton in January 2024 and had a bright start to his career with The Seagulls, continuing the hype originally set in motion by his professional career at Boca marking him out as one of the revered club’s youngest senior debutants.

He joined Sevilla on loan for the opening half of the 2024/25 season ahead of a temporary spell at Strasbourg which has now been turned into a more permanent move.

His lone senior international cap for the albiceleste came in March 2024 as El Salvador were beaten 3-0 in a friendly held in Philadelphia, USA.
