Wolves to bid for Brazilian talent quickly – Club won’t negotiate for less than €15m

After early reports linking Wolverhampton Wanderers with Flamengo forward Wallace Yan, there’s now a fresh development in the story: the Premier League side are expected to submit an official bid in the coming days, according to multiple sources in Brazil including Bruno Lemos, via [Torcida](https://www.torcidaflamengo.com.br/news.asp?nID=171479).

The 20-year-old has been on Wolves’ radar for several weeks, and Flamengo are making their stance clear: they will not enter talks for less than €15m.

The player’s contract includes a €50m release clause for foreign clubs, meaning Wolves would be aiming to strike well below the official buyout value.

Wallace is a dynamic forward who thrives in tight spaces and shows a natural instinct for goal, a quality that’s become his trademark despite limited game time.

Initially developed as a winger, he was shifted into a more central attacking role under manager (and former Chelsea defender) Filipe Luís, who previously coached him at youth level and continues to oversee his rise in the senior team.

His acceleration, quick feet and ability to find pockets between defenders make him especially dangerous inside the box.

_“Wallace has a huge margin for growth,”_ Filipe Luís said recently. _“He wants it more than anyone, works harder than anyone. I’m happy because to me he was already a real player, and now the fans are seeing it too. He gives us versatility and something that’s essential for any forward: goals.”_

Wallace is seen in Brazil as a big game player already, despite still being used sparingly at senior level. He has only started once in 15 matches this season but already scored six goals and added three assists.

His goals in high-stakes matches have fast-tracked his reputation, and the coaching staff at Flamengo highlight his maturity and commitment.

Off the pitch, he’s learning English and follows an individual post-training programme to stay sharp even when minutes are limited.

His standout moment came at the FIFA Club World Cup, where he scored against Chelsea and became the first substitute to score in back-to-back matches in the tournament, earning recognition on FIFA’s official channels.

Still under contract until December 2027, Wallace Yan is protected by a high release clause and has no shortage of internal backing.

But with European clubs circling, Wolves may be hoping that €15m is enough to tempt Flamengo into business – and bring one of Brazil’s most efficient young forwards to the Premier League.
