Everton could be in line to benefit from an unusual transfer agreement concerning right-back Wesley.
The 21-year-old possesses brilliant skill and pace, and is expected to be made available from Flamengo for around £26million this summer.
However, whilst Everton are reportedly the club in negotiations for the Brazilian, he may end up featuring for a different club this season.

Everton to aid Friedkin plan
In December last year, The Friedkin Group completed a 99.5 per cent takeover of Everton, taking majority control from Farhad Moshiri.
Led by chairman Dan Friedkin, the American group also own Serie A club AS Roma and declared their “immense pride” following the takeover.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
While the new owners were successful in their initial task – to keep Everton in the Premier League – issues with the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) appear to have hamstrung the club’s efforts to move forward.
So much so, that the Toffees’ latest move looks to be a direct effort to help the Friedkins skirt around the rules.

Wesley has already made his debut for Brazil
Everton now look set to sign Brazilian right-back Wesley for around £26million and send him straight to their new, in-effect, sister club, AS Roma.
While that has understandably raised eyebrows among Everton fans, Corriere Dello Sport’s print edition (4 July) reports that both clubs would be in line to benefit.
This is because a potential sell-on clause is to be inserted into the “surprise” deal, as the report puts it, as well as the PSR benefit from receiving a sizable fee for the sale.
The fee ‘received’ by Everton would allow them more wiggle room within the rules, allowing them to pursue further business this summer.
That £26m fee is said to be locked in, with Flamengo not willing to go any lower.
Roma, of course, will receive an impressive player who recently featured at the Club World Cup for Flamengo.
While the deal may seem murky, such situations have become relatively commonplace among multi-club models – with Chelsea engaging in similar tactics with their sister-club, Strasbourg.
Everton set to benefit in the long term
Given Everton’s need for a right-back of their own, following the departure of Ashley Young, fans may feel slightly hard done by when missing out on the exciting talent of Wesley.
However, the Toffees should benefit in the long term due to the financial freedom promised by the deal.
PSR issues have plagued the club over the last two seasons, and such annoyances may have to be taken on the chin for future gain.
