Van Dijk Gives Emotional Tribute to Diogo Jota
Virgil van Dijk has finally spoken since the sad passing of fellow Liverpool player Diogo Jota. The former Portugal international passed away in a car crash in Spain at just 28 years of age.
The Dutch Defender showed a side of himself that is not often seen by the fans. He was not able to hide his emotions thinking back to a friend and teammate he had so many memories with. Through Instagram, Van Dijk shared that he was “completely destroyed” and said that Jota was more than just a top footballer. He was a great human being that was kind and humble and brought happiness to everyone he came across.
