Newcastle United are extremely reluctant to entertain offers for Tino Livramento this summer but would cash in at their new sky-high asking price.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that sources have told him about the 22-year-old’s future and a potential move to play under Pep Guardiola.
In an attempt to ward off interest, the Magpies have set an £80million asking price for the right-back amid claims it would take an “astronomical” fee to let him go.
This comes after former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Newcastle are demanding “crazy” money to sell Livramento.
The England international, who played a major role in England Under-21s’ Euros success, is high on City’s list of targets to replace Kyle Walker, but a deal will be difficult.
Football Insider exclusively revealed in February that Man City will prioritise signing a right-back as they prepare for Walker to leave.

Newcastle make Tino Livramento decision amid Man City interest
Football Insider revealed in February that Newcastle are not planning to sell Livramento, but could be forced to accept offers if their financial situation calls for it.
Now, with Howe’s side in a stable position heading into the summer transfer window, they are not prepared to welcome any interest from Man City.
O’Rourke explained that the Magpies will make it difficult for City to pull off a deal despite their hopes of luring the right-back away from St James’ Park.
“It’s a difficult deal for City to do,” he told Football Insider.
“It’s no surprise he is pretty high up on Manchester City’s wanted list for right-back.
“Livramento is one of the best right-backs in the Premier League, he proved that with Newcastle last season when he was outstanding for them.
“He’s been a key man for Eddie Howe’s team and had a good summer with England’s Under-21s.
“I don’t think Newcastle will be entertaining any offers for him unless it’s astronomical money.
“They’re probably looking at around £80million to even consider selling Livramento.
“Newcastle, with Champions League football, are looking to build on their success and keep hold of their best players, so they won’t be welcoming any interest from Man City.”

Alexander Isak update emerges at St James’ Park
While Newcastle have made their intentions clear with regard to the future of Livramento, they are also standing firm in their ambitions to keep Alexander Isak.
Brown told Football Insider on 2 July that Newcastle want Isak to sign a new contract and are growing in confidence that an agreement will soon be reached.
Despite interest from the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal, the Magpies have no intention of letting him go and there is a “good feeling” terms will be agreed.
Football Insider revealed in May that Newcastle will price clubs out of signing Isak with a British-record £150million price tag now placed on his head.
