Jorgen Strand Larsen loves one 'really important' change Wolves have made since Gary O'Neil left

Jorgen Strand Larsen had an impressive season last year while on loan at Wolves, and the striker has now signed permanently for the club.

The Norwegian striker made his way to Molineux last season on loan from Celta Vigo in La Liga.

Jorgen Strand Larsen found form at times across the season as he became the highest-scoring Wolves player in their debut Premier League season as he netted 14 goals and provided four assists.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed his time away from football, getting a break before preseason; however, he is now looking forward to getting back in the gold and black of Wolves this season.

Strand Larsen achieved certain clauses in his contract that automatically extended his time in Old Gold until 2029.

The one ‘really important’ change Wolves have made since Gary O’Neil left according to Jorgen Strand Larsen

Speaking with Wolves Express after the completion of his permanent move to Molineux, he recounted how he managed to find his feet quickly, in comparison to his time in La Liga with Celta Vigo.

He spent two seasons in Galicia, demonstrating his ability, but in his first season at Wolves, he had his most productive season ever.

Larsen said: “It is not as if one thing has changed; obviously, changing the manager was a huge part of it.

“Gary [O’Neil] and all the staff did what they could, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out, and sometimes that is just how football is.

“They were amazing people and really good on the grass, but sometimes what a football club needs is fresh faces.

“That is what we needed—all of the squad and all of the players to actually feel we could fight for a spot in the starting 11—and I think Vitor has brought that back.

“That is really important, as the training levels have gone up and everything else has gone up.”

Fresh faces expected at Wolves this summer transfer window

Strand Larsen is not the only deal Wolves have completed this summer, as the club acquired the services of Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo too.

This will see the pair reunite after they featured at the club in La Liga together.

However, the spending doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon for Wolves, as they have been linked with a number of players.

Recently the club has been linked with El Bilal Touré of Atalanta as the club targets the signing of a striker.

This could see Strand Larsen competing for his position, while another option in this role could be Wallace Yan, who has been linked with the side.
