Liverpool have been the centre of attention in the transfer market since it first opened at the start of June.
Arne Slot and Richard Hughes have spent close to £200million already this summer, with players such as Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong being added to their ranks.
Of course, Florian Wirtz is the big-money signing at the club, with the young German setting the Reds back around £116million.

So, with all these numbers in mind, it’s clear that some sales are going to have to be made soon, with Luis Diaz’s future being brought up once again.
Fabrizio Romano expects Barcelona to make one last bid for Luis Diaz
Liverpool’s Diaz was Barcelona’s main target at the start of the summer transfer window.
However, when Barcelona’s first bid was rebuffed by Slot, their attention turned towards Nico Williams.
And, although a deal was close to completion, the Spaniard has chosen to extend his stay with Athletic Bilbao until 2035.
Since then, rumours have begun to emerge once again regarding Diaz’s future, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano sharing his thoughts on the situation.

“I expect Barca to ask again, to approach again and to try again for Luis Diaz,” he said.
“Barcelona at the start of the summer transfer window wanted Luis Diaz.
“Deco started the summer plan with Luis Diaz, then Liverpool said no to all the clubs at the moment.
“But I expect Barca to make one more try for Luis Diaz this summer, let’s see what Liverpool will decide to do, otherwise they have more options available.”
Liverpool should consider selling Luis Diaz to Barcelona
It’s clear that Liverpool need to recoup some of the money they’ve spent on new arrivals this season.
If they don’t manage to sell a decent number of players, then they could find themselves teetering on the edge of breaking the Premier League’s PSR rules.
This, as most fans will know, would be far from ideal, especially in a season where Liverpool will want to try and retain the title.

Diaz only has two years left on his current contract, and since the Reds don’t want to extend his stay any longer, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be sold.
His sale would generate the Anfield outfit some much-needed cash and spur them on to getting the last couple of signings they desire over the line.
Of course, only time will tell what the future holds, but for now, selling the Colombia international feels like the best course of action, even if Slot does want to keep him around.
