Bayern Munich has kicked the tires on several wingers this summer and has, well, struck out — at least so far.
Now, per reports captured by PSG Talk, the Bavarians could be looking at Real Madrid star Rodrygo. In addition to Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool FC, Arsenal FC, and Manchester City are also keeping a close eye on the Brazilian youngster, who — per reports — is allowed to leave Madrid for the right deal:
PSG are one of several top clubs keeping tabs on Rodrygo’s situation at Real Madrid, but they’re facing serious competition. Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City are also closely tracking the Brazilian winger, whose future remains uncertain heading into the next transfer window.
Real Madrid are expected to make significant changes to their squad this summer, and Rodrygo is among the high-profile players attracting interest across Europe.
Defensa Central reports that after failing to land Liverpool’s Diaz and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, Bayern Munich have turned their attention to Real Madrid star Rodrygo. According to the report, Bayern Munich have taken note of Rodrygo’s limited minutes under new manager Xabi Alonso during the ongoing 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The Bundesliga champions believe this situation could give them an opening.
They reportedly view the 24-year-old Brazil international as the most enticing of the three options to play on the left wing and complete an attacking trio alongside Harry Kane and Michael Olise.
It remains to be seen if Real Madrid actually does sell the skilled youngster, but if it does, Bayern Munich would likely be firmly in the mix to bid on him barring a surprise signing.
Bayern Munich could be getting serious about Liverpool FC attacker Luis Díaz. Would the left-wing be a fit...and affordable? Transfermarkt values the attacker at €70 million, but how much would Bayern Munich pay? Where do things stand with Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade? Why did Bayern Munich — allegedly — pitch a last minute offer to Borussia Dortmund for Jamie Gittens. Bayern Munich will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup and there is...bad blood? Let’s talk about why this match up will tell us about the mettle of the Bavarians at this stage of the season.
