£25M striker drops huge hint on potential transfer this summer – Leeds United in the race

Leeds United have made it clear in this transfer window that they aim to boost quality in every position. So far, the attack and defence have seen new arrivals.

Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw have been the only three arrivals at Elland Road this summer. Each of them ticks the boxes this summer – strong, tall and physical. All these players are above 6ft and have the attributes to survive in the Premier League.

The latest on Lecce star Nikola Krstovic is that he is not keen on a move away from Italy. Leeds United reportedly came to an agreement with the Italian club over a fee, but were unable to convince Krstovic when it came to personal terms. It is highly unlikely that the Whites continue to push to sign the 25-year old after Graeme Bailey revealed that the club have other high priority targets.

This week, Krstovic may have revealed his next destination. The forward posted an image of himself in an AS Roma jersey on Instagram, and shortly deleted it after.

Roma have been linked with the striker, but are yet to make an official approach.

Krstovic would be perfect for the Premier League

It is a shame that the Whites could potentially miss out on signing Krstovic. He looks like a player built to survive in the Premier League. The Montenegro international can lead the line, is strong and fast and can carry the ball up the pitch.

His best attribute is being able to get a shot off from ridiculous angles and locations near goal. It is one of the reasons he has been able to score so much for a very defensive team. That skillset would have been very useful in a team like Leeds United.
