**City have agreed a partnership with local non-league side Lincoln United which will see the two clubs work together to help drive football in the area.**

Representatives from both clubs have met over the past six months to explore opportunities for collaboration, which has led to a signed memorandum of understanding.

This commits both clubs to the following:

• The Imps and Whites will meet in an annual pre-season friendly at Ashby Avenue, with City sending a representative side.

• Gold Membership holders at City will receive a discounted entry to United’s home games when there is no fixture clash or the Imps are away from home.

• Season ticket holders from United will receive exclusive offers for selected Imps games.

• City will sponsor a United fixture once a season, working with them to maximise attendance.

Both clubs will work together to offer professional development opportunities for coaching staff

We are also working to undertake a full review of the Women’s open age football and commit to working together far closer in the future, with exciting news on the horizon to be announced shortly.

United chair Stuart Reddington said: “As the city’s professional club the Imps are leading the way on the national and international stage, and this is a great opportunity to work with them to help strengthen our club following the progress of recent years.

“This also goes beyond the obvious benefits of driving people to games. We’re undertaking a full review of both clubs’ women’s programmes with a commitment to working closer to give the city of Lincoln the best chance of success in men’s and women’s football.”

Imps chief executive Liam Scully added: “Thank you to Stuart and his team for their open minds towards working with us – we commit to the measures under the MOU but also to look for other opportunities to work together where it makes sense.

“All at the Imps are excited to work closely with United and excited for what is to come – with more updates to follow sooner rather than later.”
