Manchester United will sell Joshua Zirkzee if they can’t offload Rasmus Hojlund.
Word is out among the agent fraternity that the big Dutchman, who only signed last year from Bologna, will be sacrificed to satisfy boss Ruben Amorim’s re-building plans.
Man United Could Sell Zirkzee Instead of Hojlund
The Red Devils are struggling to find a buyer for the Dane

The Red Devils have been trying to find a new home for Hojlund all summer amid reports that they have slashed his asking price in a bid to tempt suitors into parting with their cash.
However, enquiries have been slow on that front and so the giant Zirkzee, 24, who cost £36m when he was purchased from the Serie A club last season, will be up for grabs if there are no takers.
That’s the information the middlemen are working upon now as time pushes on ahead of the new campaign.
It is little surprise that Hojlund has failed to stimulate much interest in the market following a disappointing 2024-25.
Even though the price on his head has been slashed to £45m - which, if realised, would mean the club taking a £27m loss in two seasons for the Denmark international - there is little movement.
Hojlund is seen as the more expendable of the two who can spearhead the attack.
But Zirkzee will find himself surplus if there is no movement as Amorim chases the firepower to kickstart his career in the hot-seat at Old Trafford into life.
He has already added Matheus Cunha to his frontline - handing £62.5m to Wolves - and the club is within touching distance of meeting the fee for Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo.
But if Amorim is to chase targets such as Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, he will need to create room within his squad to do so.

Watkins is on the club’s radar and, as revealed by GIVEMESPORT last week, Villa will listen to offers.
Unai Emery’s side have issues with UEFA over the Profit and Sustainability metrics used by European football’s governing body.
Selling the women’s team to a company owned by co-owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens has brought Villa into line with the regulations surrounding the Premier League’s rules.
However, that tactic is not recognised by UEFA as being permissible - and so the club needs to bring its books into order.
Watkins was the subject of interest from Arsenal during the January transfer window.

But the Gunners are chasing Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, leaving the route clear for Manchester United to act.
That is the reason why the club wants to push through any outgoings quickly - in case Sweden international Gyokeres doesn’t go to the North London club - and Mikel Arteta and his recruitment team plump for Watkins instead.
That would leave Amorim with a major headache ahead of a season when the manager wants to hit the ground running.
If a stalemate persists over Hojlund, the opportunity to raise funds by off-loading Zirkzee would be taken, leaving Amorim with the chance to push on with the pursuit of his own targets.
