Alejandro Garnacho
Alejandro Garnacho has the perfect move to stay in the Premier League
Manchester United and Alejandro Garnacho are facing the unwanted possibility of reconvening when Ruben Amorim's players return to pre-season training on Monday.
Part of United's squad will report to Carrington at the start of next week to start the preparations for the 2025/26 season. Players who didn't partake in international fixtures immediately after last season finished are due back, including new signing Matheus Cunha, Leny Yoro, Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford.
will also be one of those players after he didn't receive a call-up to the Argentina squad. The forward was a key member of Amorim's squad last term; however, his cash in.
After venting his frustration at being named on the bench against Tottenham, Garnacho's future appears away from Old Trafford.
Chelsea and Napoli have both been credited with interest in the winger, but neither have entertained United's hefty price tag. It's been stated previously that a fee in the region of £60m-£70m is what United want, but it's widely expected that around £45m could be enough to accept.
With , Garnacho's possible sale is one that the club are desperate to complete. This week, have claimed that intermediaries have been appointed to help get a deal over the line, with Chelsea at the forefront of their mind.
However, there's an obvious answer to the problem with Garnacho that feels right for so many reasons. Newcastle have spent the first part of the transfer window throwing everything at improving Eddie Howe's attack. The Magpies will return to the Champions League next season, and it's understood that they want to add more firepower.
They look set to miss out on Mbeumo to United and have failed with an opening bid for Anthony Elanga. Rbut it remains to be seen how keen Nottingham Forest are to sell one of the best players.
After also missing out on Joao Pedro, who joined Chelsea, Newcastle are running out of options, and Garnacho could be the answer to their solution. At 21, the United winger has Premier League experience and plenty of untapped potential.
Alejandro Garnacho celebrates scoring against Newcastle last season
The £55m bid for Elanga is yet to be answered, and while he is the better option due to his attitude and past 12 months, Garnacho is available. It's understood the forward wants to stay in the Premier League, and at Newcastle, he would be one of the main players.
Frustration has reached close to boiling point at St. James' Park after watching pursuits of . That's around £280m worth of talent being missed out on. Elanga remains their priority, with players like Edon Zhegrova, Mohammed Kudus and Jack Grealish all linked recently.
But Garnacho is no closer to securing a move away from Old Trafford as we speak, and the longer the window goes, Newcastle will be desperate to bring in a new attacker before their first game of the season.
It almost feels like a deal we've seen so many times before with United. A player isn't deemed good enough to play in red, is sold to relocate funds elsewhere, and he hits the ground running. Newcastle would be the perfect move for him to flourish in the Premier League.
