Professional sports can be very cruel at times. So many terrific athletes are never able to reach their full potentials due to injury.
Takehiro Tomiyasu is one of those athletes.
The 26-year-old defender gave everything thing he had during his 84 appearances for the Gunners, however, last season’s injury has put the Japanese international on the free market. Arsenal and the player have reached a mutual decision to end his contract.
He earned Arsenal’s Player of the Month Award twice during his stretch in North London, and became a fan favorite with his skill and hustle on the pitch.
I am a fan of this young man, and I hope he is able to move on and have a very good career.
