The prolific winger is out of Enzo Maresca’s plans and the Blues would cash-in on him if a suitable offer arrived for his services. The aforementioned report also stated that the Lilywhites were joined by Arsenal in the race for his signature for next season.

Now, Tottenham are on the verge of losing out on the 23-year-old as the Gunners have made a quick move to land him. As per Fabrizio Romano (via X), Arsenal are in ‘advanced’ negotiations with Chelsea for Madueke’s services. The England international is also keen to move to the Emirates Stadium and compete for a spot in the starting eleven.
Some may say that Spurs have missed out from making a mistake by losing the race for the Chelsea star. Signing Noni Madueke for a huge fee would put the England international under huge pressure to perform at N17. Not only that, but the winger is not consistent enough to make his mark in the starting eleven for a stretch of games. The 23-year-old does not have the technical skills to operate as a number ten under Thomas Frank as well.
