Man United could make a move to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy instead of Viktor Gyokeres.
The Red Devils have been linked with Gyokeres for several months now, as it was believed that they could tempt him to join United with the lure of linking up with Ruben Amorim, who coached him at Sporting CP.
However, it has emerged that Gyokeres is instead prioritising a move to sign for rivals Arsenal, as the Gunners are also keen to bring in a number nine this summer. So, Man United are looking at other targets.

Man United should sign Serhou Guirassy instead
When considering Gyokeres alternatives, one of the best things to do is look at the numbers, and see if there is a striker out there that matches up to the Swedish international.
According to DataMB, Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy is a similar player to Gyokeres in terms of every potential statistical measure. He has similar stats in terms of goal conversion %, expected goals, expected assists and non-penalty goals.
Last season, Guirassy scored 37 goals in 49 games for Dortmund, also contributing with nine assists. Furthermore, he is much cheaper than Gyokeres, with a market value of £39m, and has experience delivering in a tougher league, as he plays in the Bundesliga.
In terms of an alternative, he is about as perfect as can be instead of Gyokeres, and someone that Man United should consider signing rather than the likes of Watkins.
