Back in 2024, Usher received the chance to shine a light on his career when performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Not only did the singer entertain millions of fans watching, but he also released his latest album, Coming Home. And if that wasn’t enough, he decided to kick off his Past Present Future tour. Taking complete advantage of his moment in the NFL, the star looked to take his tour to Australia. But recently, Usher canceled all shows in Australia.
Starting in November and running till December, Usher planned to perform 12 concerts in both Melbourne and Sydney. And fans in the area showed their support as strong ticket sales led Live Nation to add four more shows. While thrilled by the reception he received in Australia, on Friday, Live Nation shared a brief message, informing those who purchased a ticket about the canceled shows. “The promoter of Usher’s Australian tour regrets to advise that the scheduled shows to take place in November/December will no longer be proceeding.”

Usher Hoped To Perform In Australia For The First Time In 14 Years
Giving no official reason behind Usher deciding to cancel the shows, Live Nation added, “all tickets purchased (including refundable ticket purchases, if relevant) will be automatically refunded in full to the original payment method used. Customers do not need to take any action.”
Organizers advised fans to wait at least 30 business days to allow the refund to process on their accounts. Looking at the price of a ticket to a Usher concert in Australia, the standard price started at AUD $220. While not a bad price given what some concert tickets are going for now, the Ultimate Meet and Greet VIP Lounge Experience came at a hefty price. Given all that was included in the “Lounge Experience”, it ended up costing AUD $2,792.
While canceled, if Usher followed through with the concerts, it would have marked his return to Australia for the first time in 14 years. The singer first visited the country back in 2011 with his OMG Tour. With fans excited to see him return, many wondered what exactly caused the singer to cancel.
