Victor Osimhen to Arsenal transfer latest as£64m move accepted on one condition

Victor Osimhen has reportedly decided he wants to join Manchester United over Chelsea and Arsenal this summer.

The forward has been linked with a move to London for some time now with both teams understood to have explored a move for him last summer. However, he spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are in the market for a new striker this summer. The Gunners have been strongly linked with moves for one of Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres while Enzo Maresca has already signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer.

United are also in the running for a new striker with no European football at Old Trafford costing them in convincing key targets. However, Spanish outlet Fichajes have reported that Osimhen has chosen to join United after 'expressing his willingness' to complete the move.

It has previously been reported that Napoli are demanding a fee in the region of £64million. That figure would fall below the £80m that Sporting want for Gyokeres. The Italian side aren't keen on keeping Osimhen with Romelu Lukaku's goals helping Gli Azzurri to the Serie A title.

Right now, United are weighing up a third bid for Bryan Mbeumo after failing with their first two offers. It's understood that Brentford want between £65m-£70m, a deal that would significantly reduce the Reds' ability to sign a striker.

Ruben Amorim's men know they must sell players to raise funds once Mbeumo comes in. However, with less than two months of the window left, the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony remain at the club.
