Man United are in desperate need of a new striker. They have been linked with multiple players across whole Europe. The latest reports reveal that they are keeping close tabs on English striker who ended the 2024/25 season with 35 goal involvements for his club.
Manchester United are in desperate need of a new striker. They were able to score only 44 goals in Premier League in the recent season. As a result, Ruben Amorim wants a new striker as he is not impressed with current stars.
The Red Devils can part ways with either of Hojlund or Zirkzee. But, them selling both of these strikers can’t be ruled out. As of now, Amorim wants a proven striker who can score regularly. But, it is proving hard for them to sign top strikers.
United failed to land Liam Delap as the 22 year old opted to join Chelsea. On the other hand, they had Viktor Gyokeres as top target. But, the Sweden international prefers to join Arsenal instead. Hence, the Red Devils are now monitoring other options available in market.

The star in question here is Ivan Toney of Al Ahli. He is 29 years old English striker who moved to Saudi last summer. Toney scored 30 goals and picked 5 assists in 2024/25 season for Al Ahli in just 44 games. He is now linked with a return to England by former Premier League scout Mick Brown.
“Man United have been watching him, my sources tell me, and they think he is still capable of playing at the top level, plus he’s not even 30 yet, so he’s got years left in him. From what I’m told, he would be interested in a return to the Premier League. They see him as a definite upgrade on what they’ve got, so it’s a possibilty” – Mick Brown told Football Insider.

Toney can be a very good addition to the United squad. He has a vast experience of playing on English soil. He will surely not be a long term solution, but will help United to get back at the top level. The 29 year old can have instant impact and will he upgrade on both Hojlund and Zirkzee for sure.
