Man United have received major boost in the striker pursuit. As per the latest reports, Nigerian striker with 44 goal involvements in the recent season has given green light to join them.
Manchester United are in urgent need of a new striker. They are ready to part ways with any of Hojlund or Zirkzee. But, it will not come as a surprise if they opt to sell them both. Ruben Amorim is not impressed with any of them and wants a clinical striker instead.
Firstly, the Red Devils were keen to sign Liam Delap. But, the 22 year old opted to join Chelsea. Later, they were showing strong interest in Viktor Gyokeres. But, the Sweden international prefers a move to Arsenal due to UCL football. Hence, United are having hard time to sign a new striker but have now received important boost in pursuit of world-clas striker.
Man United handed green light by Nigerian striker
The striker in question here is none other than Victor Osimhen. The 26 year old has fallen out of favour at Napoli who are keen to sell him. Osimhen was away on loan for full last season at Galatasaray. He was superb there scoring 37 goals and picking 7 assists in 41 games.
Napoli have not changed their mind and still want to sell Osimhen. They want €75 million which is the current release clause. Osimhen has been linked with multiple clubs including Man United. According to Fichajes, he has opted to join the Red Devils this summer.
This will come as a big boost for United in their ongoing striker search. Osimhen is a world-class striker and is capable of taking United’s attack to the next level. However, his salary demands may cause a problem in the deal. The Nigerian has high salary demands which United may find hard to match in current situation.
