Nottingham Forest Academy is delighted to confirm the full pre-season schedule for the B Team and U18s.
Alongside the fixtures in the UK, Warren Joyce’s B Team will travel to Poland on July 23 for a training camp.
Training at first-class facilities in a complex to the west of Poznan, the team will be based there for eight days, forming a crucial part of preparations for the new season.
Alongside the training camp, the team will be tested as they face their counterparts of the nine-time Polish champions, Lech Poznań.
In August, the last game of the B Team’s pre-season will also be abroad, as they travel to the Netherlands to play Feyenoord U21s. Played at the training ground of the 16-time Dutch champions, the game will be another strong test for Joyce’s team ahead of the new season.
Our Academy’s exciting overseas summer camps also includes a trip over the Atlantic, as Tom Mallinson’s U18 side head to Canada for the Kamloops Cup. As well as playing three fixtures at the Hillside Stadium, the team will be engaging in local community initiatives, and Forest coaches will also deliver sessions for local players whilst there.
Chris McGuane, said: “Pre-season is a great opportunity to provide memorable experiences for our young players, and the programme this year will do just that.
“The experience of playing against elite teams abroad and being together on a training camp is invaluable to both individual and collective development, and the time away will serve as great preparation for the season ahead.”
