Man Utd confirm Rashford wants to leave as forward continues to dream of Barca

Marcus Rashford has told Manchester United he wants to leave the club this summer as speculation over a possible move to Barcelona continues.

The Red Devils have briefed the media on a number of their players ahead of the start of pre-season and confirmed Rashford wants out.

United have also confirmed Rashford’s No. 10 shirt has been given to new signing Matheus Cunha following his arrival from Wolves.

Man United also confirm Rashford’s representatives were informed that Matheus Cunha would be taking his number 10 shirt.

It’s definitely between United and Rashford.

The update also states that Rashford does not have return for the start of pre-season with the rest of the United squad and can instead use that time to explore a move.

Rashford has long made it clear he would love to join Barcelona this summer and his chances look to have improved after top target Nico Williams signed a contract extension with Athletic Club.

Yet it remains to be seen if Rashford will arrive, particularly as Barcelona still have work to do to register any new arrivals.

Rashford’s extortionate salary would also be a problem for Barcelona, with the 27-year-old reportedly earning around £325,000 per week.
