Three clubs on Benjamin Sesko transfer red alert amid Arsenal'wait'

Arsenal are continuing to work behind the scenes to land their transfer targets with Benjamin Sesko understood to be among the priorities.

The Gunners have previously been criticised for their lack of firepower in attack, which ultimately cost them the Premier League title to Liverpool last season.

With pre-season set to begin in a few weeks, Arsenal are facing a race against time to sign a new forward who can boost their title ambitions.

According to a report by July 2, 2025 " rel="nofollow" target="_self">Caught Offside, Arsenal must act quickly.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all said to be monitoring Sesko's situation and waiting to pounce in case Arsenal fail to get a deal done.

The report also highlights the belief that RB Leipzig's demands are 'too high,' and football.london understands that Leipzig have so far shown little to no willingness to budge.

At present, it is believed that talks between Arsenal and both RB Leipzig and Sporting CP over Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres, respectively, are not moving at much pace, if any.

Fees in excess of €80million (£69m) are currently being demanded, with the proposed payment structures not entirely favourable to the buying club.

Sporting director Andrea Berta is overseeing his first transfer window at the club and will be keen to avoid appearing easily swayed by the inflated demands of selling clubs.

Sesko was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise disappointing season for Leipzig, who finished seventh in the Bundesliga last season.

Ahead of the forthcoming season, the Slovenian has previously said he wants to play for a club that can bring the "best" out of him.

Speaking to German broadcaster Sport1, Sesko said: "The club has given me a lot and continues to give me a lot every day. It's a great club to develop at."

Sesko also added that in the future, he wants to "play for a club that suits me, that brings out the best in me. That's the most important thing for me."
